Repetitive movements, stress or lack of physical activity can all cause muscle tension in the body. These ‘knots’ of tension are also known as trigger points. At Thermae Sports Merchtem, we offer two group sessions that target this tension, specifically trigger point mobility and trigger point stretching. Mobility serves as a warm-up before exercise, and stretching as a post-exercise activity. However, both sessions have the same goal: to improve the mobility and flexibility of the body, boost circulation, reduce the risk of injury, decrease muscle tension and improve sleep. The positive effect of these sessions is instant and can last for up to 25 hours after the session!
