We asked Lily, our Beauty Clinic manager, to give us some tips.
‘Preparation is key. Scrub your skin well, with a peeling tailored to your skin type. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to choose a gentle fine-grain peeling. Also, make sure to moisturise your skin properly afterwards. As dry patches will tan darker than the rest of your body, we want to prevent this. Pay extra attention to your knees, ankles, elbows, all those areas where your skin tends to be drier anyway.’
‘Never go out in the sun unprotected. I, myself, always apply a high SPF sunscreen, and for my face, I choose products specifically formulated for the face. There are now also products on the market with active anti-ageing ingredients!’
‘After-sun care is important too. If you moisturise your skin with a body milk or after-sun product, your lovely tan will last longer!’
