Sauna rituals are embedded in Scandinavian culture. At Thermae Boetfort, we, too, have been masters in the art of Aufguss for many years now. Every single day, we organise these special experiences free of charge for our customers. And yes, from 10 to 30 March 2025, they will have a distinct Scandinavian flavour. Join us and experience a deep sense of relaxation and the powerful effect of warmth, aromatic essential oils and/or steam of these special rituals.
So, what are some of the events on the programme?
Furu scrubbing session in the steam bath with pine scrub and eucalyptus essential oil
Discover the invigorating power of a scrubbing session with pine and eucalyptus. The fresh, crisp pine aroma opens up your airways and stimulates your immune system. Eucalyptus adds to this effect by dissolving phlegm and reducing inflammation. Together, these aromas cleanse the air, refresh your mind and allow you to enjoy the rest of your sauna day feeling re-energised and clear-headed!
These sessions are held both in our swimwear and nude area.
Arctic Bloom aromatherapy in the Mine sauna
Let yourself be carried away by the mystical sounds of Norwegian music while experiencing the benefits of aromatherapy in one of our hottest saunas. Deep, soothing tones and natural melodies help you relax, while the wonderful aromas stimulate your senses.
Scandi infusion Aufguss in the Mine sauna
Take part in this unique session in which our sauna master pierces a herbal infusion which hangs over the hot sauna fire. As this water infusion hits the fire, it fills the cabin with a wonderfully aromatic scent and the temperature in the sauna rises. We use a herbal blend of birch, spruce, pine, chamomile, lavender and lemon, all of which promote a state of ultimate relaxation of both body and mind!
Lugna herbal scrubbing session in the steam bath
During this gentle herbal scrubbing session, you are given a mix of salt and refreshing herbs to do your own scrub. You will be amazed at how silky soft this makes your skin feel and it also boost blood flow in your skin.
This session is only held in the nude area.
