Come and celebrate spring with us from 3 to 10 May 2023! For one whole glorious week, the sauna masters of Thermae Boetfort are getting into the spring of things with a special wellness programme. For seven days, they will be using all kinds of spring and floral scents in their Aufguss and scrubbing sessions. And yes, there are also several special relaxation sessions to be enjoyed.
So, Aufguss, what is it? You are joined in the sauna by an Aufguss master, aka sauna master. As soon as you have all taken a seat, the Aufguss master pours water infused with essential oil on the hot stones. This increases the humidity in the room and the temperature rises. The effect is instant and you start to sweat. Then, he walks around, flapping a towel. This wafts bursts of hot air over you. A truly unique sensation. After your Aufguss session, make sure to cool down properly and rest for a while.
