Manneken Pis may be small in stature, but he is world-famous. This statue of a little boy urinating has a wardrobe of more than 1,000 outfits, which he wears on public holidays and special occasions. This wardrobe can be admired at the Brussels City Museum.

Jeanneke Pis was a marketing stunt of local traders to attract more visitors to their street. A successful one at that, because more than 30 years later, the statue of the urinating little girl is still there.

Zinneke is sometimes – incorrectly – referred to as Zinneke Pis. It’s a statue of a urinating dog. And, while you are here, make sure to go for a stroll through the Sint-Gorikshallen, historic market halls offering an up-to-date shopping experience. Exhibitions and other events are also regularly held here.
