Over the past few days, phishing messages have been circulating worldwide. Thermae Boetfort and Thermae Grimbergen never send emails, SMS messages or WhatsApp messages asking you to make a direct payment, provide or confirm your banking details, or click on a link. Thermae Boetfort and Thermae Grimbergen never request payments outside our official booking channels.

This issue is part of a broader, worldwide security concern affecting the hotel sector. Cybercriminals are targeting external booking and software systems used by hotels. As a result, guests from various hotels may receive suspicious messages that appear legitimate at first glance.

We want to help you recognise these messages and protect yourself.

Have you booked an overnight stay at our hotel? Then please be extra cautious with messages received via WhatsApp, SMS or email. Thermae Boetfort and Thermae Grimbergen will never ask you to:

  • make a direct payment via email, SMS or WhatsApp,
  • enter or verify your banking or personal details through a link,
  • make any payment outside our official booking channels.

If you do receive such a message, it is not from us. Do not click on any links, do not make any payment and do not reply to the message.
