Grimbergen Abbey was built more than eight centuries ago. Its symbol is the phoenix, because over the years the abbey has risen again from the ashes after it had been destroyed. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the beautiful Basilica of Saint Servatius and the abbey beer museum. The fathers have recently started brewing a diverse range of Grimbergen beers again, which enthusiasts can taste on site as well as in the nearby restaurant Het Fenikshof.
