Why visit the sauna during the autumn half-term? Because this is exactly when it feels even more enjoyable. The weather is getting cooler, the evenings are drawing in and, during the autumn half-term, you may have a little more time to enjoy a few hours or perhaps even several days of pure relaxation. A moment when you can simply switch off and do absolutely nothing.

Thermae Boetfort, wellness on a centuries-old castle estate

Thermae.com is a Belgian family business with two wellness centres in Flemish Brabant. Each location has its own distinctive character. Thermae Grimbergen welcomes you to a spacious, green retreat, while at Thermae Boetfort you can unwind in the unique setting of a centuries-old castle estate. During the autumn half-term, simply choose the location that suits you best.

Can you visit the sauna in swimwear during the autumn half-term?

Yes. At our wellness centres, you can choose between swimwear and nude wellness seven days a week. This makes a visit even more accessible. If you prefer to keep your swimwear on, there is no need to wait for a special swimwear day.
There are two separate areas:

  • Moenia: an area where you enjoy the saunas and wellness pools without swimwear.
  • Curia: an area where you wear swimwear in the saunas and wellness pools.

So you can simply choose the option you feel most comfortable with.

What can you do during a wellness day in the autumn half-term?

A wellness day doesn’t need a strict schedule. That’s part of the pleasure: you can simply see what you feel like doing. Your day could look something like this.

Start gently with a warm sauna, followed by a refreshing cool-down. Then take plenty of time to relax. Around lunchtime, sit down and enjoy a leisurely meal. Later in the day, treat yourself to a relaxing massage or a refreshing facial.

And be sure to make time to do absolutely nothing. Pick up a book, close your eyes or simply enjoy a quiet chat with your favourite sauna companion.

What should you bring for a day at the sauna?

With a little preparation, you can make your wellness day even more comfortable. Check in advance what is included in your booking and what you would like to bring yourself. If you choose the swimwear area, for example, make sure you bring suitable swimwear. You can take a look at the swimwear rules for our saunas beforehand.

You may also like to bring your own favourite skincare products, such as body lotion or day cream.
