Get the most out of your scrub with these tips!
Do a scrub on wet skin
Always start in the shower or in the bath. Wet your skin with warm water. This opens up your pores and makes your skin more supple, so your scrub is more effective and gentler on your skin.
Scrub using gentle, circular movements
Apply the scrub and massage using gentle pressure and circular movements. Avoid abrasive or rough movements: the idea is to stimulate your skin, not irritate it. Work your way upwards to simultaneously boost blood flow.
Focus on rough areas
Pay extra attention to those areas where your skin is often a bit rougher, like elbows, knees, heels and upper arms. And don’t forget your back!
Rinse and dry yourself well
Rinse your body well to remove any residual scrub product. Then, pat your skin dry with a soft towel, without rubbing.
Moisturise after your scrub
After doing a scrub, your skin is able to absorb skincare products better. So, make sure to apply a moisturising body lotion that nourishes your skin and keeps it supple!
Don’t do a scrub too often
Once a week is enough. If you do a scrub too often, you may damage your skin barrier.
Why do a regular scrub? We tell you all about it here!
Don’t feel like doing your own scrub? Visit our beauty clinic: we are open seven days a week and offer two different peelings. Choose the short 25-minute one if you haven’t got a lot of time or let yourself be pampered with the longer 50-minute one during which your body is first scrubbed thoroughly, followed by an effleurage (gentle massage) with a moisturising product!
