How about the Parks and Gardens Route? Part of the cycle junction network, this route starts at the Meise Botanic Garden and takes you to Vilvoorde via Wemmel, Merchtem and Grimbergen. Other routes well worth exploring are the Green Belt Route (or part of it) and the Eddy Merckx Route.
Didn’t bring your bike(s)? No problem! Local bike hire shop JoVélo, Grimbergse Fietsverhuur, provides electric bike hire and if you wish, they will even deliver the bikes to the hotel’s doorstep (for a small extra charge).
