A Kelo sauna really is unique experience! The Kelo sauna is a fully custom-built sauna, made of kelo wood, a type of wood that is also used traditionally in Finland. This wood absorbs the heat very well and then releases it again slowly.

The Kelo sauna is only open during Aufguss sessions and was designed to provide the perfect Aufguss experience. There is a large fire in the centre on which the Aufguss master pours water infused with essential oil. This raises the temperature and the humidity in the room. There is enough space around the fire for the Aufguss master to walk around easily so that everyone gets to feel the full effect when he is flapping the towel.

When you walk into the Kelo sauna you can’t miss the large TV screen on which images are projected during special sessions. Recently, for example, a Flower Power Aufguss session was organised here, as well as a session celebrating film music with images and music from famous films.

After an Aufguss session in the Kelo sauna, the adjacent swimming lake is a great place for an invigorating cooldown. Once fully cooled down, have a little rest before heading back into the sauna while digging into a delicious snack and a drink at the bar or on the terrace in garden.
