From Monday 14 to Friday 18 September 2026, the Belgian Sauna Association is organising National Sauna Week. And of course, Thermae Boetfort and Thermae Grimbergen are taking part too!
Like to do a scrub during your sauna day but find taking part in a traditional scrubbing session too intense? Great news, we have added a daily self-scrub to our wellness programme at Thermae Grimbergen!

The exact time of the self-scrub is announced on notices and TV screens at the centre.
The Aufguss master awaits you at the steam bath in the swimwear area and gives you a handful of salt. You can then take a seat in the steam bath and do a body scrub. Please note, there is no towel flapping in this session.
Make sure to be on time because as soon as the Aufguss master has handed out the salt, he leaves the steam bath and you won’t be able to get any salt once he has left.
