When the temperatures drop, you’re more likely to experience dull, dry skin. That makes winter the perfect time to switch up your beauty routine!

Fluctuating temperatures inside and out can wreak havoc on your skin. And with the heating on high, indoor air becomes drier – and along with it, your skin. During the colder months, our skin produces less sebum, which helps keep it hydrated and supple. As a result, most people tend to have drier and duller skin in winter.

Not to worry: a few small adjustments to your daily beauty routine can restore your natural glow!

Start by washing your face with a mild cleanser that is free from perfume and alcohol. Not everyone loves scrubbing or exfoliating their skin in winter, but it’s an important step towards a radiant complexion. We prefer a gentle peeling product, such as our gommage with lavender extract, which has hydrating properties. The exfoliant has a smooth, creamy texture that dries on the skin and absorbs impurities. Rubbing the dried product off your skin creates a gentle exfoliating effect.

Next, apply a rich day or night cream that nourishes and protects the skin. You can also use a serum to hydrate and soothe the skin, depending on your needs. A hydrating night mask is also a great option.

Finally, don't forget to protect your skin from the sun, especially on snowy days, when the sun is reflected everywhere.
